Open house event for official re-opening of Toronto ambulance station |  | | | |
Media and the public are invited to join Toronto EMS Chief Paul Raftis and Councillor James Pasternak (Ward 10 York Centre) for a community open house and the official re-opening of ambulance station 54. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Date: Thursday, June 28
Time: 5 to 8 p.m. (official remarks and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.)
Location: Toronto EMS Station 54, 4135 Bathurst St. at York Downs Boulevard
Parking is very limited. Media should call in advance to reserve a parking spot for a media vehicle. Public parking is available on neighbourhood streets on the west side of Bathurst Street and in the parking lot at Earl Bales Park.
The public will be able to meet City of Toronto Emergency Medical Services paramedics and emergency medical dispatchers, tour the station, see the inside of an ambulance, and learn about the emergency medical profession. Station 54 is one of the first ambulance stations in Toronto to have a green roof.
