Economic Development Committee to spotlight Toronto film industry
Film industry leaders will speak to the Economic Development Committee tomorrow about the Toronto film industry's successes and its plans for diversification.

In 2011, Toronto hosted the two largest feature films in its history. The city has also experienced promising growth in the digital film, animation and special effects sectors.

Date: Tuesday, November 15
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Location: Committee Room 1, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Presentations will include:
- "Visual/Special Effects and Animation: A Bright Future for Toronto" by Wesley Lui, President, Computer Animation Studios of Ontario
- "Today and Tomorrow for Toronto's Film Industry" by Sarah Ker-Hornell, Executive Director, FilmOntario
- "Preparing Talent - Building Companies" by Luigi Ferrara, Director of the Centre for Arts and Design, George Brown College
- "Big Studio - Big Budgets: Bringing a New Type of Business to Toronto" via teleconference by Paul Bronfman, Chairman and CEO of the Comweb Group and Chair of the Pinewood Toronto Studios
