Work on east-bound Gardiner Expressway to begin at 8 p.m. tonight

Given the expected inclement weather on Saturday, May 22, work on the Gardiner Expressway east-bound collector lanes from Kipling Avenue to Park Lawn Road, originally scheduled to be closed for re-surfacing (paving) between 2 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, will begin tonight at 8 p.m. The work should be finished before 1 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday).

During the closure, east-bound traffic on the expressway will not be able to exit at Kipling Avenue, Horner Avenue, Islington Avenue, Legion Road or Park Lawn Road, and access to the east-bound Gardiner will not be available from Kipling Avenue, Horner Avenue, or Islington Avenue.

The east-bound express lanes will remain open for those travelling into the city.
