City of Toronto to celebrate Canadian winter sports with “Sharing Sports” event at Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre
  
Over 100 youth from diverse communities will join Councillor Janet Davis, Chair of the Community Development and Recreation Committee (Ward 31 Beaches-East York) and other City representatives for an afternoon of skiing and snowboarding to experience the varied sporting culture of Canada. The initiative, called “Sharing Sports,” is aimed at welcoming and encouraging newcomers and diverse groups to take part in sports and recreation activities.

Date: Friday, February 12
Time: 12:30 - 6:30 p.m. (official ceremony at 1 p.m.)
Location: Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre, 4169 Bathurst St.

Participants will be available before and after the official ceremony for media interviews and photos.

The event is organized by Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation in collaboration with AthletesCAN, Toronto Youth Cabinet and FLOW 93.5.
