STOMP urban dance competition and showcase photo op
  
Members of the media are invited to a special dress rehearsal photo opportunity featuring contestants for STOMP Urban Dance Competition/Showcase.

Date: Saturday, May 15

Times:
10 to 11 a.m. - Beginner teams
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Intermediate teams
1:30 to 2 p.m. - Advanced teams

Location: Wellesley Community Centre, 495 Sherbourne St.

Styles of dance include step, breaking, hip hop, dancehall, jazz and contemporary. The event will also highlight the city’s up-and-coming youth bands, vocalists, rappers and dub poets.

STOMP Urban Dance Competition/Showcase features 325 participants, age 6 to 24 years from Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation dance programs and external agencies: boys and girls clubs, private dance companies, community dance groups and professional teams. The actual event will take place on Saturday, May 29, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Exhibition Place, 210 Princes Blvd.
