City to honour community activist Randy Padmore with park naming
Councillor Adam Vaughan (Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina) and representatives of the City of Toronto will join members of the community to celebrate the naming of Randy Padmore Park.

Randy Padmore was born and raised in Toronto. He devoted a large part of his life to community projects, charitable work and public service in the Atkinson Housing Co-Op, the Alexandra Park neighbourhood and the Malvern community. Randy Padmore passed away in 2009.

Date: Sunday, July 11
Time: 2 to 5 p.m. (ceremony: 2:30 p.m.)
Location: 47 Denison Ave.

Special guest speaker: Pauline Padmore (Randy Padmore’s wife)

The event will include children’s activities, musical entertainment, a community barbecue and a sign unveiling.

The park has a children’s play area, a path, small treed area and a wading pool.
