City to announce bicycle friendly business award winners
During the Toronto Bike Awards event tomorrow night, the City of Toronto will present the 2009 Bicycle Friendly Business Awards (BFBA), honouring businesses that promote cycling. The event, co-hosted with the Toronto Cyclists Union, will feature performances and more. In addition to the BFBAs, awards such as the Toronto Cyclists Union’s Golden Spokes Awards will be presented.

Date: Tuesday, January 19
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Gladstone Hotel, 1214 Queen St. W.

Award presentations will be made by Councillor Adrian Heaps, Chair of the City’s Cycling Committee (Ward 35 Scarborough Southwest), and Councillors Gord Perks (Ward 14 Parkdale-High Park), Adam Giambrone (Ward 18 Davenport) and Kyle Rae (Ward 27 Toronto Centre-Rosedale).
