Road closures for weekend events in Toronto | | | | |
There are two special events this weekend in Toronto that all residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy. Businesses in the affected areas are open to pedestrian traffic, but some roads will be closed to motorists.
The public is encouraged to take public transit as a greener, faster and more affordable means of getting to their destinations.
Walk for Israel
Sunday closure:
A number of partial closures will take place from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 24 to accommodate this event. The roads affected will be in the area bounded by Strachan Avenue in the west, Queen’s Quay in the south, Bay Street in the east and Dundas Street to the north.
Annual Danforth BIA Charity Road Hockey Challenge
Sunday closure:
Danforth Avenue from Ellerbeck Street to Jackman Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 24 for this event.
The public is encouraged to use public transit (TTC and GO) as a convenient, alternative choice whenever possible.
