City of Toronto To Dedicate Beltline Park to Kay Gardner
  
Official Dedication Ceremony for the Kay Gardner Beltline Park.

DATE: Sunday May 28, 2000

TIME: Official Ceremony: 2:00 p.m.
Community Activities & BBQ: 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Chaplin Crescent north of Eglinton Avenue West

Councillors Tom Jakobek and Michael Walker, and representatives from Toronto's
Parks and Recreation Division, will bring greetings on behalf of the City. Ms.
Gardner will unveil a plaque in her honour.

Kay Gardner served the City of Toronto, from 1985 to 1998, as both a Metro
Councillor and a City Councillor. She is well-known for her work with seniors,
and in the area of tenant rights. In addition, she was a driving force behind
the City's acquisition of the Beltline lands.
