Mike Myers receives honours at Toronto City Council

Toronto's favourite son and famous Hollywood star Mike Myers returned home
today to be honoured at Toronto City Council.

Mayor Mel Lastman thanked Myers for his remarkable contribution to the City and
presented him a Key to the City.

"Born and raised in Scarborough, Mike is a credit to his city - and not just
because of his Hollywood successes," said Mayor Lastman. "He's also one of our
greatest ambassadors, taking every opportunity he can to promote our city
abroad."

Councillor Lorenzo Berardinetti also used the occasion to present to Myers a
replica of the street sign for Mike Myers Drive, which will be located in the
Toronto suburb of Scarborough.
