Event tomorrow to launch World Cat Day in Toronto
Media are invited to join Councillor Glenn De Baeremaeker (Ward 38 Scarborough Centre) and some furry friends for Toronto's launch of World Cat Day.

Date: Wednesday, August 8
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: Toronto Animal Services, East Shelter, 821 Progress Ave., Toronto (Highway 401 and Markham Road)

World Cat Day is a celebration of the love and companionship that cats provide to people. In celebration of World Cat Day, Animal Services is encouraging the introduction of kittens and cats into life-long, loving homes. From August 8 to 15, Toronto Animal Services is offering two-for-the-price-of-one cat and kitten adoptions.

Members of the media will be able to meet and interact with some of Toronto's most eligible felines. Animal Services staff will be on hand to assist with kittens for filming.
