Governments and local youth groups celebrate the opening of the McGregor Park Commons Lounge
Councillor Michael Thompson (Ward 37 Scarborough Centre) and representatives of the provincial and federal governments will join members of the community to officially open the McGregor Park Commons Lounge with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Date: Saturday, October 27
Time: 11 a.m. to noon; remarks will start at 11 a.m.
Location: McGregor Park Recreation Centre, 2231 Lawrence Ave. E.

Susan McIsaac, President and CEO of United Way Toronto, Nation Cheong, Director, Community Engagement and Grants for Youth Challenge Fund Toronto and Karar Jafar, former member of the Dorset Park Youth Advisory Council, will also address the gathering.

The McGregor Park Commons Lounge was jointly funded by the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario and the City of Toronto through the Recreation Infrastructure Canada Program (RiNC) initiative.
