City of Toronto announces new Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer
Toronto City Council today appointed Roberto Rossini as Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer for the City of Toronto effective January 2013.

Mr. Rossini comes from the City of Hamilton, where he is currently the General Manager, Finance and Corporate Services, a position he has held since 2009.

"Mr. Rossini will be an integral part of our senior management team and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position," said Toronto City Manager Joe Pennachetti.

"I'm humbled to be given this opportunity and very excited about joining the City of Toronto. I look forward to working with the great team in Toronto," said Mr. Rossini.

Mr. Rossini is an accomplished executive, with more than 27 years of public sector experience in progressively responsible positions in finance.

He holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science, and a Master of Economics degree, both from McMaster University.

Mr. Rossini will commence his position with the City of Toronto on January 7, 2013.
