Maintenance work continues on underside of Gardiner Expressway
  
Work crews from the City's Transportation Services division are continuing their maintenance work on the underside of the Gardiner Expressway.

A visual inspection of all pedestrian areas beneath the Gardiner Expressway was completed yesterday. Areas requiring chipping will be cordoned off and pedestrian traffic will be rerouted where appropriate.

The planned work schedule is as follows:

Friday, May 25 (day)

Chipping operations (two crews):
• Simcoe Street and Lake Shore Boulevard
• Yonge Street and Lake Shore Boulevard
• Crews will continue to work on intersections east of Yonge Street and west of Simcoe Street.

Lane closures will occur where necessary.

Friday, May 25 (night)

Chipping operations (two crews):
• Work not completed during the day will continue overnight
• Crews will also work on the intersections of York Street and Lake Shore Boulevard and Bay Street and Lake Shore Boulevard.

Saturday, May 26 (day)

Chipping operations (two crews):
• Cherry Street and Lake Shore Boulevard
• Rees Street and Lake Shore Boulevard.

Lane closures will occur as necessary.

Saturday, May 26 (night)

Chipping operations (two crews):
• Work not completed during the day will continue overnight.
