Mayor Ford to proclaim Bullying Awareness Week
Media are invited to join Mayor Rob Ford to officially launch the 10th anniversary of Bullying Awareness Week at City Hall, with Lindsay Hamilton, Family Channel Host; Joe Tedesco, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Astral Kids; and Kimberley Greenwood, Acting Deputy Chief of Divisional Policing Command, Toronto Police Service.

Mayor Ford will read a proclamation declaring the week of November 12 to 18 Bullying Awareness Week in Toronto.

Astral Media Inc.'s Family Channel co-founded Bullying Awareness Week in 2003 and developed the Stand UP! (to bullying) campaign in association with PREVNet (Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence Network), a national network of Canadian researchers, community organizations and governments committed to ending bullying and promoting positive relationships.
