New therapeutic rooftop garden opens at Lakeshore Lodge

Councillor Mark Grimes (Ward 6 Etobicoke-Lakeshore) will be joined by the residents, families, friends, volunteers and staff of Lakeshore Lodge for the official opening of the facility's new therapeutic rooftop garden. Lakeshore Lodge is one of the 10 Long-Term Care Homes owned and operated by the City of Toronto.

Date: Tuesday, June 5
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Lakeshore Lodge, 3197 Lake Shore Blvd W.

The new rooftop garden will provide the residents of Lakeshore Lodge with a space for gardening, visiting and walking, as well as a place for special events to be held. It was made possible through the generous support and donations from the local community, including Medical Pharmacies, Humber College and Toronto Community News.
