Mayor's Trophy tournament Saturday a celebration of cricket in Toronto
Cricket teams from public, private and community organizations will participate in the eighth annual CIMA Mayor's Trophy event in Toronto on Saturday.

Date: Saturday, June 23
Time: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Sunnybrook Park, 1132 Leslie St., Toronto

Gulzari Babber, President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Amal Ratnayake of CIMA Canada, and City of Toronto staff will attend as spectators.

The annual Mayor's Trophy event was launched in Toronto in 2005 by CIMA Canada in partnership with the City of Toronto's Parks, Forestry and Recreation division. Since then, the event has helped raise funds to support youth cricket programs in Toronto.

The lead organizer, CIMA, offers an internationally recognized professional qualification in management accountancy with over 195,000 students and members in 176 countries. CIMA members and youth around the world are involved in community activities. A significant majority of CIMA members in Toronto have roots in cricket-playing nations around the world.
