Culinary Events Series tickets on sale this week

Next year marks 10 years of Winterlicious, Toronto's culinary celebration presented by American Express. This year's event offers two programs, the Winterlicious Culinary Events Series and the Prix Fixe Promotion, from January 27 - February 9, 2012.

"In its 10th year, Winterlicious continues to successfully support Toronto's restaurant industry and generate significant economic activity," said Mayor Rob Ford. "This program is made possible through the City's partnerships with local dining establishments and the ongoing support of corporate partners."

Toronto food lovers continue to embrace the Winterlicious and Summerlicious programs produced by the City of Toronto. In the years since the programs' inception participating restaurants have served 3.2 million meals during the promotion which have generated more than $140 million in economic activity for the local restaurant industry.

2012 Culinary Events Series
The Winterlicious Culinary Events Series features 11 one-of-a-kind ticketed culinary experiences featuring diverse cuisine hosted by some of Toronto’s finest restaurants and venues. These gastronomic events showcase flavours from Asia to Italy, include ingredients from chocolate to seafood, and draw inspiration from art to fashion.

Tickets for these culinary events go on sale Thursday, December 15. For the complete list of culinary events and how to purchase tickets, visit http://www.toronto.ca/winterlicious.

Restaurants start taking reservations for the prix fixe promotion on Thursday, January 12, 2012. American Express Cardmembers can go to the front of the line and make reservations on January 10 and 11, 2012.
