City of Toronto to recognize community recreation volunteers for their contributions in the North York District
  
Councillor Maria Augimeri (Ward 9 York Centre), Chair of the North York Community Council, will join City of Toronto staff at a reception to recognize 150 people for their dedication and valuable contributions in the role of community recreation volunteers in the North York District.

Date: Wednesday, May 4
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: North Toronto Memorial Community Centre, 200 Eglinton Ave. W.

Volunteers play an essential role in supporting the delivery of community recreation services ranging from participating on reference groups to assisting staff with the delivery of sports, leisure club activities and special events. Volunteering is also an opportunity for residents to get involved in their community.
