Mayor Rob Ford to honour Toronto EMS for winning international ambulance competition
Mayor Rob Ford and Toronto City Council will congratulate a team of City of Toronto Emergency Medical Services (EMS) paramedics for winning the Dutch Open Ambulance Competition.

The Toronto team took first place in a field of over 30 international competitors. The competition was held in Harderwijk, Holland, on October 27, 2010, and the competitors were tested both on their medical and teamwork skills. Mayor Ford and Chief Bruce Farr wish to recognize the team publicly for this outstanding international success.

Date: Tuesday, February 8
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Location: Council Chamber, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

Photo Opportunity and Media Availability:
There will be an opportunity to take a group photo at the time of the presentation. Toronto EMS spokespersons will be available to the media in the City Hall Rotunda immediately after the presentation.

Don Reid, Jennifer Shield and John Klich - Toronto EMS advanced care paramedics
Dr. Michael Feldman - Emergency physician, Sunnybrook Hospital
