Media Advisory: Media Availability for Mayor Ford: 2011 Proposed Budget
  
Mayor Rob Ford will speak about the 2011 staff recommended City of Toronto budgets.

Following Mayor Ford's media availability, the Budget Committee will meet in the Council Chamber beginning at 9:30 a.m. Mayor Ford will briefly address the committee, and then Budget Chair Mike Del Grande will invite City of Toronto staff to introduce the staff recommended 2011 budgets.

Introduction of the staff recommended 2011 budgets begins the formal review process for the City's operating, capital and utility budgets. A series of meetings of the Budget Committee have been scheduled over the next two months to review the staff proposed budgets before they are finalized.

Toronto residents will have an opportunity to participate in the budget process at four public Budget consultation meetings on January 19 and 20.

The Budget Committee schedule is posted on the City of Toronto website and information about the City's proposed budgets will be available at toronto.ca/budget2011 on Monday morning at 9:30.
