Experience Canada's largest Doors Open event all weekend May 28 and 29
Doors Open Toronto is set to begin its 12th year with free access to close to 150 unique locations throughout Toronto, all weekend long. Doors Open Toronto annually attracts more than 200,000 visitors. It is Canada's largest Doors Open event and one of three largest Doors Open events in the world.

Date: Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29
Time: Most venues open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (see website for individual venue hours)

This year's photography themed edition has many free interactive opportunities including a photo contest, an "Ask a Photographer" program, talks by notable architectural photographers, performances by five ensembles drawn from Toronto's internationally acclaimed Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and much more.

Participants can also interact with Doors Open Toronto through Facebook and Twitter and by using mobile applications, developed by independent programmers, using City of Toronto Open Data on the event.

For information on participating venues, events, social media and mobile applications the public can visit as well as accessing the Doors Open Toronto guide in the May 26 edition of the Toronto Star. The public can also call 311 for information at any time, or obtain information from Doors Open Toronto staff at Toronto City Hall on May 28 and May 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Doors Open Toronto features free access to architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings. Doors Open Toronto has attracted more than 1.9 million visitors since it began and was the first North American city to launch a Doors Open event.
