Media advisory - Forty new Toronto Emergency Medical Services Paramedics graduate
  
Toronto Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Chief Paul Raftis and Toronto EMS Honorary Chief Major-General Richard Rohmer will welcome 40 new paramedic graduates to the service at a special recognition event at Toronto EMS Headquarters on Thursday, June 20.

After a rigorous 13-week training and orientation program at the Christopher J. Rubes Centre for EMS Studies, the new paramedics will receive their uniforms and graduation diplomas at this special event. These new employees are not only highly skilled medical professionals but are also representative of Toronto's culturally diverse community. Fourteen of the graduates are fluent in foreign languages; one of the graduating paramedics speaks four languages.

All of the graduates will be assets to the service and to the residents of Toronto.

Date: Thursday, June 20
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Toronto EMS Headquarters, 4330 Dufferin St.
(Parking is available in the church parking lot off Lodestar Avenue.)

Media will be able to photograph the ceremony and interviews will be arranged upon request.
