Preview of Toronto's STOMP urban dance/competition
Members of the media are invited to a special dress rehearsal and photo opportunity featuring the contestants for the City of Toronto's upcoming STOMP urban dance competition/showcase.

Date: Saturday, May 11
Time: 10 to 11 a.m. - beginner teams; 11 a.m. to noon - intermediate teams; 1:30 to 2 p.m. -advanced teams
Location: Wellesley Community Centre, 495 Sherbourne St.

Styles of dance include step, breaking, hip hop, dancehall, jazz and contemporary. The event will highlight the City’s up-and-coming youth bands, vocalists, rappers and dub poets.

STOMP showcases an amazing 425 participants, aged 6 to 24 years, from Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation dance programs and other groups. The event includes private dance companies, community dance groups and showcase teams.

STOMP will take place on Sunday, June 2 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, 1 Front St.
