Media briefing to outline plans for resumption of Gardiner Expressway East environmental assessment
  
The City of Toronto and Waterfront Toronto will hold a media briefing to highlight plans for the resumption of the Gardiner Expressway East environmental assessment.

Date: Wednesday, June 12
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W., 23rd Floor, East Tower (large boardroom)
Speakers: John Livey, Deputy City Manager, City of Toronto; John Campbell, CEO, Waterfront Toronto; Chris Glaisek, VP, Planning and Design, Waterfront Toronto

The environmental assessment will determine the future of the Gardiner Expressway East and Lake Shore Boulevard East from approximately Jarvis Street to Leslie Street. Four alternatives will be considered within the study area, including maintaining, improving, replacing or removing the elevated expressway.

In addition, staff from Waterfront Toronto will provide information about the public consultation phase of the project which begins on Thursday, June 13. The public can register for the public consultation event at http://gardinerconsultation.eventbrite.com.
