City of Toronto launches second annual Workforce Development Week
  
The City of Toronto is helping people find jobs and helping businesses find the skilled employees they need. Councillor Adam Vaughan (Ward 20, Trinity-Spadina) will launch the City's second annual Workforce Development Week on Friday, October 18.

Councillor Vaughan will be joined by a representative from Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, along with many of the City's corporate and community partners, to launch Workforce Development Week from October 21 to 25. Two individuals who secured employment opportunities associated with the construction and operations of the aquarium will also speak about how they were connected to these opportunities through City initiatives.

Location: Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, 288 Bremner Blvd., East entrance

A number of initiatives, programs and partnerships will be showcased throughout Workforce Development Week events. A separate media advisory will be released on October 18 with more details about specific events taking place during Workforce Development Week.
