City of Toronto's Fire Services welcomes its newest firefighters
Forty of the City of Toronto’s newest firefighters will graduate from the Toronto Fire Services recruit training program tomorrow afternoon.

Date: Friday, February 1
Time: 1 p.m.
Location: Toronto Fire/EMS Training Centre, 895 Eastern Ave.

Fire Chief Jim Sales will welcome each of the firefighters as they receive their hat badges and certificates.

The training that the new firefighters received enables them to perform fire ground and rescue operations including hazardous materials calls, respond to medical emergencies and motor vehicle accidents, perform emergency patient care, educate the public about fire prevention and fire safety practices, conduct inspections and, while in station, maintain firefighting equipment.
