Toronto's civic centre wedding chambers now offer online bookings and payment
Getting married at the City's three civic centre wedding chambers is now easier than ever, thanks to a new online booking and payment system.

The wedding chambers at the Scarborough, North York and York Civic Centres can now be booked and paid for using this new online service. The chambers at City Hall are currently operated by a third party and must be booked in person.

"Getting married in Toronto just got easier as you can now book the City-operated wedding chapels online and avoid the drive downtown. You can even book North York, Scarborough and York Civic Centres from your smart phone or computer," said Councillor David Shiner (Ward 24 Willowdale), Chair of the Government Management Committee. "It's simple and easy to access the wedding booking services now wherever you are, any time, day or night."

A half-hour booking at one of the three civic centre wedding chambers is $104, plus HST. Couples must bring an officiant and two witnesses. Decorating the space and playing music is permitted.

"Every year nearly 1,000 couples choose to start their lives together at our civic centres. We're pleased to offer our new online booking and payment system, which allows us to provide even easier access to these facilities," said Ulli Watkiss, City Clerk.
