Media advisory: New road improves traffic flow, reconnects Fort York to city
Date: Wednesday, August 14
Time: 10 a.m.
Place: Northwest corner of Bathurst Street and Fort York Boulevard.
Fort York Boulevard runs west off Bathurst, north of Lakeshore Boulevard and
south of Front Street

The City of Toronto's Works and Emergency Services Department and Economic
Development, Culture and Tourism Department (Culture Division) in conjunction
with the Friends of Fort York, will officially open Fort York Boulevard. The
road opening is significant because it improves traffic flow and is part of the
City's long term strategy to develop Fort York, a National Historic Site, into
a major cultural destination for both residents and visitors.

The event will feature music and pageantry presented by Fort York.
