Media Advisory: Official dedication ceremony for the Toronto Inukshuk
  
Mayor Mel Lastman will join project co-chairs Councillor Joe Pantalone (Ward 19
Trinity-Spadina) and Tony Dionisio (Universal Workers Union, Local 183) for the
dedication ceremony of the Toronto Inukshuk - the City of Toronto's Legacy
Project to commemorate World Youth Day 2002 and the visit of Pope John Paul
II.

Date: Monday, July 22
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Place: Battery Park (between the eastern border of Ontario
Place and Coronation Park, south side of Lake Shore Boulevard)

Sponsors for the project, as well as other City officials will be present at
the ceremony. The artist of the project, Inuit sculptor Kelly Qimirpik, will
fly in to Toronto from Cape Dorset to join in the ceremonies.
