Information Forum to be Held on City of Toronto's Information and Technology Vision
  
Corporate Services - As part of their eCity consultations, senior staff with
the City of Toronto's Corporate Information and Technology Division invite
members of Toronto's business community and information technology industry to
an information forum being held on September 25, 2002 in the Metro Hall Council
Chamber.

eCity is the proposed direction for the future of information and technology in
the City of Toronto. A discussion paper, eCity: Building an Information and
Technology Vision for Toronto was tabled at the September 10 meeting of the
Administration Committee of Toronto City Council. The discussion paper can be
downloaded from the City's Web site at
http://www.toronto.ca/city_hall/ecity.htm. City staff will be reporting further
about eCity to the Administration Committee in October.

The September 25 information forum will consist of a presentation by James
Ridge, Executive Director, Corporate Information & Technology, that will
provide an overview of the proposed future direction of information and
technology in the City of Toronto, followed by a 90 minute question and answer
session.

When: Wednesday, September 25, 2002
6 - 8 p.m.
