Media Advisory: Councillors highlight need for window safety

Place: Outside of 248 Simcoe Street, just south of Dundas Street West, one
block west of University Avenue

Children can be seriously hurt or killed by falls from windows. There have been
several incidents in the Toronto area in the past few years.

Councillor Olivia Chow, Toronto's Children and Youth Advocate, and Councillor
Brad Duguid, Chair of the Task Force on Community Safety, will highlight the
need for safety measures to help keep kids safe.

An ambulance and paramedics who have dealt with window accidents will also be
on hand.
