Union Station restoration and revitalization: public information meeting

A public information meeting about the City of Toronto's plan to restore and
revitalize Union Station will be held on Monday, November 25, 2002.

The information meeting will include a City staff presentation that will review
the process and a presentation by the Union Pearson Group focusing on their
development concept, followed by a public question and answer session.

When: 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Monday, November 25

Where: Metro Hall, Council Chamber
55 John St., 2nd floor

The City of Toronto selected the Union Pearson Group as the preferred proponent
to restore, revitalize and operate Union Station earlier this year.

City staff are currently negotiating with the Union Pearson Group to finalize a
proposal that is acceptable in the areas of team composition; a development
concept that includes improvements to the transportation facilities, reuse of
underutilized components of the existing complex and a heritage strategy;
project management, operations and a business plan.
