Mayor Mel's Charity Golf Classic 2002 salutes Toronto's film and television

incredible Hollywood star impersonators to join him on the red carpet. Plus, a
very "groovy" guest will be "dropping" in to help the Mayor welcome this year's
golfing teams!

WHEN: Tuesday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 4, 2002

SCHEDULE: 10:10 a.m. Mayor Mel and special guests arrive
10:30 a.m. Fort York cannons mark tournament start
10:30 a.m. Golf tournament start
WHERE: Lionhead Golf & Country Club, 8525 Mississauga Road, Brampton

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Mel Lastman Invitational Charity Golf
Classic 2002 will raise more than $175,000 to be divided between the Rouge
Valley Hospital Health System Foundation, the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation
and the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation. With more than 600 players
registered, 2002 is another sell-out year! This event has grown dramatically
over the last ten years into the largest mayoral golf event of its kind in
Canada with more than $1 million raised for charity since 1992.
