Media Advisory: City of Toronto unveils Jane-Finch community art project

The City of Toronto is unveiling the Jane-Finch community art project entitled
"Circle of Words. Garden of Thought" by Montreal artist, Linda Covit.

The Jane-Finch public art project is a unique gathering place designed to
promote a positive sense of community and to celebrate the diversity of the
Jane-Finch community. The all-season outdoor meeting place consists of a large
stone bench, inscribed boulders, trees, shrubs and lighting, intended to
encourage community interaction and realize the artist's vision for a "Circle
of Words. Garden of Thought."

Speakers at the event include:

· Linda Covit, Artist
· Councillor Maria Augimeri (Ward 9 York Centre)
· Councillor Peter Li Preti (Ward 8 York West)
· Councillor George Mammoliti (Ward 7 York West)
