Toronto Parks and Recreation hosts the 60th annual Showcase on Ice, at the Air Canada Centre

Young hockey players age 5 to 14 will compete in the Toronto Parks and
Recreation Ice Hockey Championship during Showcase on Ice, Thursday, March 14
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Air Canada Centre, Bay Street at Lake Shore
Boulevard.

See tomorrow's stars in action with championship games for boys in the Atom,
Tyke, Pee-Wee and Bantam divisions. Enjoy a hockey skills demonstration and an
exhibition from the Hockey in the Neighbourhood program.

Skating on the ice at the Air Canada Centre is the thrill of a lifetime for
many of these children, who have braved the elements all winter long, hoping to
participate in this event. Admission to the Air Canada Centre is free for this
event, and organizers hope the public will support the participants from these
community-based programs by attending the 60th annual Showcase on Ice.

For more information about this event and other programs offered by Toronto
Parks and Recreation, call 416-392-1111 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
