Media Advisory: Presentation of CityWatch Awards for 2002
  
Councillor Brad Duguid, chair of the City's Task Force on Community Safety, and
Citytv's Mark Dailey will co-host the 2002 CityWatch Awards presentation
ceremony on December 3. The recipients of the "2002 CityWatch Annual Award"
will be announced during the evening reception after the presentation of other
CityWatch awards to municipal employees who have gone beyond their normal
duties in assisting the public or co-workers in emergencies during 2002.

Date: Tuesday, December 3

Time: 7 p.m.

Location: Members Lounge, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.

CityWatch, an initiative of Toronto's Task Force on Community Safety, is
supported by Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Locals 1, 79, 416 and
1600, Toronto Hydro, Toronto Zoo, Toronto Police Service, Toronto Parking
Authority, Toronto Zoo, Toronto Transit Commission, Toronto and Region
Conservation Authority, Crime Concern, Metro Action Committee on Public
Violence Against Women and Children (METRAC) and the City of Toronto.

The 2002 CityWatch Annual Award will be dedicated to the memory of Rick
Boustead, a City of Toronto Emergency Medical Services employee who died
earlier this year.
