Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity: Leafs, kids and child welfare experts launch Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month and new book series
  
On Tuesday, October 1, Ken Dryden and Darcy Tucker from the Toronto Maple Leafs
will join Councillor Olivia Chow, Toronto's Children's Advocate, and a team of
child welfare experts to launch Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month. This
event will also celebrate the launch of the new "I'm a Great Little Kid" book
series, a project of the Toronto Child Abuse Centre.

Also speaking at the launch will be Bruce Rivers, Executive Director,
Children's Aid Society of Toronto, and Sue Hunter, Executive Director, Toronto
Child Abuse Centre.

One highlight of this event will be Darcy Tucker reading one of the new books
to a group of children from the Hester How Day Care Centre.
