Community input sought on permit allocation policy|

Economic Development, Culture and Tourism --- Representatives of community
organizations and interested members of the public are invited to join Parks
and Recreation staff in a discussion about the department's permit allocation
policy. The current policy is being reviewed to ensure that members of
Toronto's diverse communities have full and equitable access to all parks,
recreation and culture facilities. Permit fees and facility-specific issues
will not be discussed at these meetings.
The community consultation meetings will take place between 7 and 9 p.m. (with
registration beginning at 6:30 p.m.) on the following dates at locations
throughout the city:
Wednesday, February 13
Herbert H. Carnegie Centennial Centre, Silver Blade Room, 580 Finch Ave. W.
Wednesday, February 20
Etobicoke Olympium, 2nd floor lounge, 590 Rathburn Rd.
Tuesday, February 26
Scarborough Civic Centre, Community Council Chambers, 150 Borough Dr.
Wednesday, February 27
North Toronto Memorial Community Centre, Community Room, 200 Eglinton Ave. W.
Participants are encouraged to pre-register by calling 416-338-3674 prior to
attending the meeting of their choice. Attendance by a maximum of two
representatives from each organization is preferred.
