City presents jazz, blues and R 'n' B concert featuring Salome Bey

Parks and Recreation -- Members of the media are invited to attend a
concert by internationally renowned jazz singer Salome Bey and her guests,
singer Denese Matthews, saxophonist Michael Stuart, the Brandon Street Choir
and the Bruce Skeritt Trio. The concert asserts the contributions of African
Canadians in jazz, blues and R&B music and helps celebrate Black History Month.

Date: Friday, February 22

Time: 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Location: Scadding Court Community Centre
707 Dundas St. W. (at Bathurst Street)

This performance is being presented under the umbrella of the Harry Gairey
Skating Event, an annual program that celebrates the accessibility of Toronto's
Parks and Recreation programs to all races and ethnicities.

Scadding Court Community Centre will be transformed for the night into an
intimate jazz club setting, complete with props, to create a nightclub
atmosphere.
