Bike Week bonanza begins
The City of Toronto's Bike Week activities will begin with the traditional
group commute and free pancake breakfast. Taking part in the celebration will
be Tony Ianno (MP, Trinity-Spadina), the Honourable Dan Newman (Associate
Minister of Health, Ontario) and Marilyn Churley (MPP, Toronto-Danforth).

Cyclists will begin from various points across the city and then converge at
Yonge and Bloor Streets to travel to Nathan Phillips Square for a free pancake
breakfast and festival of events.

Date: Monday, June 3
Time: 8: 30 a.m.
Location: Nathan Phillips Square

The festivities will continue into lunchtime (from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) with
music and entertainment provided by The Bicycles, DJ Neil Khanna, the
Eco-Buskers and the Norco Factory Trails Team. The day will wrap up with an
"afternoon humongous group ride" leaving Nathan Phillips Square at 5:15 p.m.
and Yonge and Bloor at 5:30 p.m. The ride will return cyclists to their morning
starting points.

Unique bikes and displays of cycling related art and photography will also be
featured week-long at the Toronto City Hall rotunda.
