Media Advisory: Cyclists learn how to Bike-and-Ride
The City of Toronto and the TTC are teaming up to show cycling commuters how
convenient it is to travel by TTC with bikes during the "Transit Links" event.

Date: Friday, June 7
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: Finch Subway Station, Kiss-and-Ride

Councillor Betty Disero (Ward 17 Davenport) and cyclists will ride the subway
from Finch Subway Station to Downsview Subway Station, returning to Union
Subway Station at 12:30 p.m.

Aboard the subway will be a bike mechanic to offer basic repairs and tips. City
transportation planning staff will also be conducting a survey of cycling
commuters' use of the TTC. Upon arriving at Union Station, participants will
cycle to St. Lawrence Market for lunch.

The Transit Links event promotes greater awareness of City transit among
cyclists and is an opportunity to showcase the City of Toronto's Bike Plan.
