Drive safely - students returning to school|

Works and Emergency Services - The City of Toronto's Transportation Services
Division is reminding motorists to use extra caution while driving now that
students are going back to school.
For the month of September, drivers on the F. G. Gardiner Expressway and the
Don Valley Parkway (DVP) will see a traffic safety message on
the overhead changeable message signs alerting them to drive safely.
Heading back to school after a long summer vacation, some young people may not
remember traffic safety rules. "Going back to school is an exciting time for
many young people," said Dave Kaufman, General Manager of Toronto
Transportation Services. "We believe this message will help remind motorists to
pay special attention to these young pedestrians at this time of the year."
The following message will be displayed on the overhead changeable message
signs on the DVP (southbound, just north of Bayview/Bloor ramp) and in two
places on the Gardiner Expressway (eastbound, by Royal York Road and westbound
at Parkside Drive):
