Media Advisory: Toronto hosts Canada's first Flash festival

The City of Toronto welcomes participants to Canada's first Flash festival,
called Flashinthecan. The festival will bring together top Flash developers
from around the world.

Flash -- high impact motion graphics and interactivity -- has become one of the
most used technologies on the Web. It allows authors to create dynamic content
using vector-based graphics and provides full creative control over fonts.

Flashinthecan is only part of the impressive lineup at Digifest 2002, Canada's
new digital media festival. The event celebrates the best in animation,
three-dimensional modeling, virtual reality, gaming, film, Internet and digital
art.

Date: Friday, March 15

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Place: The Design Exchange
234 Bay St.
Toronto-Dominion Centre

This year's Digifest theme is "the 4-D challenge," which encourages work that
goes beyond 3-D to explore intangibles such as sensation, time, perspective and
cognition.
