Paramedics on Ice - The 13th Annual Paramedics Memorial Charity Hockey Tournament
  
Emergency Medical Services - Come out and see paramedics and police
officers from across Ontario compete for fun and raise money for charity at the
13th Annual Paramedics Memorial Charity Hockey Tournament, which is being held
this Thursday and Friday at the Canlan Ice Sports - Etobicoke Arena.

The tournament, which is organized by Toronto EMS paramedic Bruce Normington,
features teams of paramedics representing Toronto, Dufferin-Caledon, Durham,
Muskoka, Niagara, Orangeville, Peel and York Regions, and a team from
Shelbourne Police Services.

Proceeds this year will go to the Richard Boustead Foundation for Childrens'
Charities, to the Make a Wish Foundation in honour of Anton Tyukodi, and to the
Alliston Kinsmen Toy Drive in the name of Frank Stevens. Rick Boustead and
Anton Tyukodi were paramedics with Toronto EMS who passed away on July 1, 2002
and June 20, 2001 respectively. Frank Stevens worked for Toronto EMS from 1983
to 1996 and then for Alliston EMS until his passing in 1999.
