Homeless women's choir joins celebrations at hostel training graduation|

At a special presentation on Wednesday, February 20, 90 workers from shelters
and related services across Toronto will receive Hostel Standards Certificates
from the Toronto Hostel Training Centre, a joint initiative of the Ontario
Association of Hostels -- Toronto Chapter and City of Toronto's Hostel
Services. Each graduate will have completed six courses, designed to enhance
services provided to homeless persons across Toronto.
Councillor Brad Duguid (Scarborough Centre, Ward 38), chair of the Community
Services Committee, will congratulate and award certificates to the graduates.
A special added feature will be a performance by the Street Haven Women's
Choir, an innovative group that offers homeless women a chance to perform and
share an organized musical experience.
