Media Advisory: A bright preview of the Cavalcade of Lights Festival
  
The media is invited to get a sneak preview of the events from the Cavalcade of
Lights Festival. The festival takes place on Saturday, November 30. Due to
weather conditions UK-based aerial acrobatic troupe Heliosphere will not be
able to perform part of their Toronto debut for the media. The rehearsal of
vertical rock climbing dance theatre on City Hall's landmark curved towers with
Hi Xposure will continue as planned. White Rose Home & Garden Centres will also
help launch the festival by decorating Christmas trees.

Date: Friday, November 29 at 5:45 p.m.

Times:
5:45 p.m. White Rose Home & Garden Centres representatives and area
children decorate Christmas trees.

6:05 p.m. Hi Xposure will perform a 10-minute preview of their act
including a test of the zip line between the City Hall towers.

There will also be a preview of the spectacular light show that will be
incorporated into the official Lighting of the Square. This will be continuous
movement. (Ideal for live hits.)

6:15 p.m. White Rose Home & Garden Centres representative and area
children continue to decorate Christmas trees. A test lighting of Toronto's
official Christmas tree will take place. Representatives for the Cavalcade of
Lights Festival and White Rose Home & Garden Centres will be available for
interviews.

Cavalcade of Lights presented by Scotiabank includes live music with Jackie
Richardson, the Joe Sealy Quintet, the Nathaniel Dett Chorale and David Usher
and spectacular feats from Toronto's Hi Xposure and the UK's Heliosphere. The
evening ends off with the Toronto Eaton Centre Skate Party. Nathan Phillips
Square's Cavalcade of Lights is one of Toronto's most visually stunning holiday
season displays, featuring more that 100,000 dazzling lights. The event, which
takes place on Saturday, November 30, is centred around the Lighting of the
Square at 7 p.m.

Illuminated from November 30 through to the New Year, this incredible
exhibition provides a magnificent backdrop for the month long series of
exciting events.

Please note: Due to high winds, Heliosphere will not be part of this photo op,
as previously announced.

NOVEMBER 30 SCHEDULE:
The Cavalcade of Lights Festival celebrates the season's first lighting of
Nathan Phillips Square.

7:30 p.m. Lighting Ceremony featuring Heliosphere and Hi Exposure
(Actual Lighting of the Square takes place at 7:40 pm)

8 p.m. David Usher (Media can shoot first three songs.) Scotiabank
