  • 5 years of festival fun - The Celebrate Toronto Street Festival's inaugural event was in 1998

  • 5 festival sites along Yonge Street at Dundas, Bloor, St. Clair, Eglinton and Lawrence

  • More than 1 million people will get their feet on the street to celebrate Toronto

  • 130,000 screaming fans expected at Saturday night's Club Yonge concert series

  • 500,000 square feet of fabulous free entertainment

  • 30,000,000 cubic feet of festival fun

  • 12 stages

  • 750 things to see and do

  • More than 1250 performers

  • 100 musical groups

  • 120 concerts

  • 7,200 minutes of music

  • 114 pounding drums

  • 107 dance performances

  • 235 dancers

  • 3,540 minutes of dance

  • 385 performers = largest group (Cloverleafs & Maple Leafs square dancers)

  • More than 17,000 kilometers (distance travelled by Australia's Strange Fruit to perform in Toronto)

  • Dozens of music styles including: rock, pop, blues, jazz, Celtic, Reggae, R & B, hip hop, soul, dub poetry, folk, roots, big band, swing, acoustic, children's, son, Latino, flamenco, salsa, merengue, African, classical, operetta, music theatre, bhangra, soca, funk, gospel, calypso, a cappella, Somali-pop, ska,

  • Dozens of dance styles including: ballet, salsa, tap, Celtic step, limbo, merengue, flamenco, belly dance, modern, stepping, hip hop, historical, Indian, tango, Kathak, breakdancing, jazz, tap, square dancing

  • 36 performers whose feet leave the ground (stiltwalkers, sway pole performers, acrobatics, trampolinists, BMX cyclists and high divers)

  • 73 dazzling costumes

  • 225,399 litres of water to fill the High Dive pool

  • More than 250 feet of inflatable fun

  • 15,750 cubic feet of air to fill the Lawrence site
    inflatable village

  • 5000 butterflies and bugs will be created at the Lawrence site

  • 10,371 feet of Yonge Street to be closed for this giant party

  • 14 miles of cable laid

  • 500,000 watts of stage sound

  • 300,000 watts of stage lighting

  • 328,396 litres of water for weighting tents
