City to hold World Youth Day 2002 community information meetings in the Downsview Lands area
  
The City of Toronto will be holding a series of community information meetings
to inform residents and businesses in the Downsview Lands area about proposed
traffic plans and road restrictions during World Youth Day 2002.

The Downsview Lands will host the World Youth Day 2002 overnight vigil on
Saturday, July 27 and a Papal Mass with Pope John Paul II on Sunday, July 28.
Tens of thousands of young people will travel along designated pilgrimage
routes to the Downsview Lands on July 27. Traffic restrictions will begin on
the evening of Friday, July 26.

City staff will explain the proposed traffic restrictions in the Downsview Park
area and other organizational details for World Youth Day 2002 at three
meetings:

Wednesday, May 1
Northwood Community Centre, 15 Clubhouse Court

Thursday, May 2
William Lyon Mackenzie School, 20 Tillplain Road

Monday, May 6
Vaughan Road Collegiate Institute, 529 Vaughan Road

All meetings begin at 7 p.m.
