34 Outdoor Pools Available for Public Leisure Swim on Sunday

Ahead of schedule, 34 outdoor swimming pools across the City will open
tomorrow, Sunday, July 15, for public leisure swim. In addition, 22
city-operated indoor pools and 24 schools pools will open as
planned. Together with 146 splash pads and wading pools that have opened across
the City since Friday, July 12, the majority of pool operation in the City has
resumed.

Pool operation hours and admission policies are as listed in the 2002
Spring/Summer Toronto FUN Parks and Recreation Guide.

Residents can call Access Toronto at 416-338-0338 or visit the City's
Web site to check the list of outdoor pools, indoor pools, wading pools and
splash pads that are in operation, operating hours of these pools, and
admission fees and policies. Members of the public can also call the Pool
Hotline at 416-338-POOL (416-338-7665) to verify the status of pools in their
community.

As scheduled, City of Toronto's 11 museums, 10 cultural centres and 140
community centres have opened today for drop-in use. Programs such as summer
camps, swimming lessons and instructional programs will resume on Monday, July
15.

Residents can call 416-338-4FUN (416-338-4386) on Sunday between 8:30 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. to check on the status of their programs or to register for new
programs.

The Toronto Island ferry service, parks and washrooms across the City and all
five City public golf courses have been in operation since Friday, July 12.
